Mani Mania: I'm seeing orange!

So I have a quick nail color for you today. I fell in love with the Essie Resort Collection this year and now have all 4 colors. It's a problem I know.  Last night I had just enough time to get 1 coat of Essies "Come Here!" color on. So do bare in mind this is only 1 coat of polish, no topcoat. Also my lighting today is crap because it has been cloudy and stormy the last few days so I apologize.

These pictures do not do this color justice, it is brighter in person, brighter than what I was expecting but it's still good!

So this is quite a glare but hopefully you can see orange!

This is the most accurate picture I can get with the lighting. It's a quite bright orange color.

Granted it's a lot brighter in person but it's gorgeous. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had expected orange just because it sounds scary but this is wearable somehow haha.
I would say it's similar to Cute as a Button but this does not have a pink undertone like that one. I'm sure if you look at the Essie website this would say coral but in my book it's orange. I'm simple like that.

Mani Mania + weekly recap

Hello everyone! I've been gone for a little bit since my husband was on vacation all week. We were out and about all day every day just about doing chores and things. We also did quite a bit of shopping so I'm hoping to post/film a haul video :)  Not to brag, its just things I've gotten over the last few weeks. With that haul I'm hoping to do some reviews as well. Ok that wasn't the weekly recap I thought it would be but oh well haha.

A couple of things I got were 2 of the polishes in the Essie Resort collection. It finally came to the CVS near me. I swear it took me forever to choose, and not to get all 4. I did get In the Cab-ana which is everywhere so I'll wait to show that one. I haven't seen so much of the purple shade of the Under where? though so I bought that one and decided to show you guys today :)

I will say this isn't my favorite color. It's nice and everything and I will wear it for spring but it just wasn't what I expected. For me it's not  as bright as I was hoping, more milky and quite so to speak.  It also took 3 coats to get this shade which as you know does not work for me most days with a toddler running around. But this may work better for you like I said nice color just wasn't what I was expecting. You know how that goes. I will say personally it is not a toe color, just sayin.

Hope this was helpful and keep a look out for more reviews!

Also I made a new facebook page so please visit and feel free to start some conversations!  You can find the link at the top right of the page along with my pinterest and twitter!

Mani Mania: Spring Coral! Essie

Ok so Spring Coral isn't really the name of this nail polish but that's what I think of for it.  I've never really been into wearing bright colors, mainly because I think I usually look a little strange in them but I am loving bright nail polish. I'm becoming a little obsessed with getting nail polish for spring. I need to stop haha.
So while I was at Target I of course had to pick up a Essie color. Which by the way I'm not sure if it is just my local Target but they had a lot of new colors in. So go check it out!  I ended up going with Cute as a Button which I am so glad I did. It was a hard choice!
It's one of those colors that I think is hard to capture on camera, in different light it looks more pink or more orange.  I think the best way to describe it is just a coral with a pink undertone...maybe....I don't know I suck at describing color.
The great thing about this is it is very opaque I only used 2 thin coats and I was good to go!

Don't mind my cheesiness in the background but here are some pictures for you :)

What are you doing to get ready for spring?  Let me know in the comments!

I am possibly starting a Youtube channel, please look me up there Plussizeinspiration :)

Mani Mania: Essie Lovie Dovie

I have yet another nail color for you all today that I am really excited to wear for this spring/summer. It is Essie's Lovie Dovie.

Super bright pink color. Isn't it cute? This is 3 coats, I think it helps with the patchiness with this color. My nails have really weird indents in them so I tend to get patchy there.   Click Here to check it out yourself :)

Anyone have a favorite color for the spring or summer time? I'm looking to get more hopefully!

Mani Mania: Essie Lilacism

Hey everyone! So today I bring you another nail polish. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with Essie? It's becoming a problem, I won't lie.  Anyway here is the picture with a short review!

Now I really love this color, it is a grey-ish purple that is nice and subtle on the nails. I think this is a great polish for spring when you want a little pop of color without being in your face about it. The application on this one was easier than Fiji and didn't streak as much. I might try Fiji again, I have a feeling I just don't know how to apply light colors. This is 3 coats and 1 coat of OPI Topcoat, now I do think you can get away with 2 coats but I usually apply my polish pretty thin.

Mani Mania: Essie Fiji

Woo I have something fun for you finally! Last night I painted my nails in a new color I bought a few days ago. Now I do apologize for the lighting, the polish doesn't show up very well on my camera but I will show you my picture and another from the internet.

this is my picture, I'm sorry for the ragged edges but it was late and I'm moving today so i figured they will get ruined anyway.

Now this well groomed person is from the internet..obviously ;)

As you can tell it's one of those color where lighting effects it. It is a very light pale pink. Now I normally stay away from bright colors, I tend to be a dark purple and black sort of person in clothing as well as polish. But this year I am trying to be a little brave. You might think this is boring or maybe you don't think you can wear a pastel like color but guess again! I always thought that too but I am in love with this polish. I think it looks better in person than any picture can show you.  The great part is I think this would look good on just about anyone, it is a very flattering color.  Perfect for if you want to have something on your nails but can't decide on which one or just don't feel like a bold color. If I were to go to a job interview or worked in public with a strict dress code this is something I would gladly throw on and not worry about it being too loud but looking put together.
The downside to this polish is that it really needs 3 coats. In my picture I am wearing 2 coats with 1 coat of OPI top coat. Like I said short on time and moving so I didn't bother with a last coat thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. My husband saw my hand after I was done and even he commented that it looked blotchy. So if you are willing to work with it and have the time I would really recommend this color!
